Day 01 | Arrival in Paro & The Journey to Thimphu
Your journey begins the moment your flight sweeps past Himalayan peaks into Paro. After a warm traditional welcome from your guide, take a scenic drive along rushing glacial rivers to Thimphu, the world’s only capital without traffic lights. Stand at the base of the majestic Buddha Dordenma overlooking the valley before joining local residents at the Memorial Chorten, where devotees gather to spin prayer wheels and offer prayers. End the day with a leisurely stroll through Thimphu’s quiet streets and your first taste of traditional Bhutanese butter tea.

Day 02 | Living Heritage & Capital Rhythms
Today is dedicated to exploring the heartbeat of Bhutanese craftsmanship and identity. Visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, where students practice the traditional arts of thangka painting, woodcarving, and clay sculpting, before continuing to the Folk Heritage Museum for a glimpse into the daily rhythms of rural Bhutanese life. Later, explore the grand courtyard of Tashichho Dzong, the fortress of the “Glorious Religion,” as its whitewashed walls glow under the evening lights.

Day 03 | Over the Mountain Pass to Subtropical Punakha
Ascend to the spectacular Dochula Pass (3,100m), where 108 memorial chortens stand against a backdrop of Himalayan peaks. Breathe in the crisp mountain air before participating in a local tradition by hanging colorful prayer flags and sending wishes for peace and good fortune into the wind. Continue to Punakha and enjoy a pleasant walk through rice fields and village homesteads to Chimi Lhakhang, learning about the fascinating folklore of the Divine Madman. Conclude the day with a visit to Punakha Dzong, widely regarded as the most beautiful fortress-monastery in Bhutan.

Day 04 | Punakha Valley: Rivers, Ridges & Farmhouse Flavors
Slow down to the peaceful pace of rural Bhutanese life as you explore the beauty of Punakha Valley. Cross the Punakha Suspension Bridge before hiking through pine forests and terraced landscapes to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, where panoramic views stretch across the valley below. Later, enjoy an exclusive farmhouse experience with a local family, learning the art of preparing Ema Datshi and sampling the warmth of traditional Bhutanese hospitality.

Day 05 | Return to the Sacred Valley of Paro
Travel back westward across Bhutan’s mountain landscapes toward Paro, a valley steeped in history and home to some of the kingdom’s oldest temples. Visit the impressive Rinpung Dzong, known as the “Fortress on a Heap of Jewels,” and admire the traditional wooden bridge below. In the evening, embrace a living tradition by trying on the elegant Gho or Kira, Bhutan’s national dress, for a special cultural dinner.

Day 06 | The High Pass & Untouched Paths of Haa Valley
Take a scenic excursion over Chele La Pass (3,988m), one of Bhutan’s highest motorable roads, offering magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Descend into the tranquil Haa Valley, one of the kingdom’s least-visited regions, where life continues at a gentle pace. Visit the ancient Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo temples and discover the stories, traditions, and local beliefs that have shaped this peaceful valley for centuries.

Day 07 | The Pilgrimage: Tiger’s Nest & Rejuvenation
Embark on Bhutan’s ultimate spiritual pilgrimage with a hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest. The trail winds through pine forests draped in moss before reaching the sacred monastery perched dramatically on a cliffside high above the valley. After exploring its temples and meditation caves, return to Paro and unwind with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, a centuries-old wellness practice that uses heated river stones and medicinal herbs to soothe tired muscles.
