Day 01 | The Intentional Start: Arrival & Butter Lamp Ceremony
Your experience begins with a scenic drive following the glacial rivers of the Paro Chhu and Wang Chhu. To ground your journey, you will visit a historic temple for a private Butter Lamp Lighting Ceremony. This is more than a visit; it is a quiet space to set your personal intentions and receive a traditional blessing for your path ahead.

Day 02 | The Artist’s Path: Prayer Flags & Local Rhythms
Begin your morning at the majestic Buddha Dordenma for a panoramic view of the valley before stepping into the world of traditional crafts. Join a hands-on workshop where you will use hand-carved wooden blocks to print your own prayer flags. Later, navigate the vibrant stalls of the Centenary Farmers Market, engaging directly with the traders at the heart of Thimphu’s local economy.

Day 03 | Nature’s Table: Over the Pass to Punakha
Ascend to Dochula Pass (3,100m), where 108 chortens stand against the Himalayan peaks. Instead of a standard restaurant lunch, enjoy a scenic, freshly prepared picnic in the open valley air. Following lunch, engage in a gentle 20-minute hike through the rice paddies of Sopsokha village to reach the famed Chimi Lhakhang temple.

Day 04 | The Culinary Connection: Farmhouse Cooking & Nunnery
Visit After exploring the architectural masterpiece of Punakha Dzong, move beyond the standard tourist path to a local heritage farmhouse. Here, you will join a Bhutanese cooking class, learning the secrets of local spices before sitting down to enjoy the feast you helped create. In the afternoon, interact with the resident nuns at the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery and, if the stars align, hoist the prayer flags you printed on Day 2 into the valley breeze.

Day 05 | The Cosmic Path: Astrology & Ancient Temples
Begin the day with an active walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, the longest in the country. On the return to Paro, stop for a unique “Bhutan Experience”: a private consultation with a master astrologer at the Pangrizampa Astrology College. This session offers personal insights into your life path based on ancient Bhutanese traditions. Conclude the day at Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th-century sanctuary of peace.

Day 06 | The Spiritual Ascent & National Heritage
Tiger’s Nest and Ta Dzong Your final full day is dedicated to Bhutan’s most iconic spiritual site: the Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) hike. This 4-to-5-hour round-trip trek through pine forests leads you to the breathtaking cliffside complex and its hidden meditation caves.
After descending, you will transition from spiritual heights to historical depth with a visit to the Paro Ta Dzong. Formerly an ancient watchtower, this site now serves as the National Museum, where you can engage with a vast collection of historic Bhutanese artifacts and sacred relics. Your afternoon continues with a walk through the architectural masterpiece of the Paro Rinpung Dzong before concluding your journey with a grand farewell dinner to celebrate your week of immersion.
