Day 01 | The First Encounter: Arrival & The Living Faith
Upon landing in Paro, your journey begins with an immediate connection to Bhutan’s communal spirit. In Thimphu, visit the Zulukha Nunnery, where you can witness the anims (nuns) in their daily rhythm of prayer and service. Cap off the day with a stroll through the capital’s centre, where ancient tradition meets modern Bhutanese life.

Day 02 | The Artist’s Path: Thimphu Cultural Heritage
Today, you transition from observer to creator. After exploring the Folk Heritage Museum, join a private Mandala Art workshop. Under professional guidance, you will paint your own traditional mandala, discovering the spiritual symbols and sacred geometry that define Bhutanese art. Later, interact directly with local artisans at the Centenary Farmers Market and neighboring craft shops.

Day 03 | Mountain Immersion: Dochula Pass to Punakha
Experience the Himalayas through active movement. At Dochula Pass (3,100m), after viewing the 108 memorial chortens, embark on a refreshing nature hike through pristine forests down to the Royal Botanical Park. Later, walk through the “fertility village” to visit Chimi Lhakhang before marveling at the confluence of rivers at the Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress.

Day 04 | Valley Rhythms: Phobjikha & The Crane’s Trail
Journey to the serene Phobjikha glacial valley. After visiting the Gangtey Monastery, choose your own pace: enjoy a gentle walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail or opt for a horseback ride through the wide, open valley floor to see the landscape from a different perspective. Visit the Black-Necked Crane Centre to understand this delicate ecosystem.

Day 05 | The Royal Route: Journey to the Heartland
Travel eastward into the seat of Bhutan’s monarchy. Explore the Trongsa Dzong, the country’s largest fortress, and the Ta Dzong Museum. By evening, arrive in Bumthang, a region revered as the spiritual heartland where ancient temples and sacred valleys await.

Day 06 | Kitchen Table Stories: Bumthang Spiritual Heritage
Spend the morning among Bhutan’s most sacred 7th and 8th-century landmarks, including Jambay and Kurjey Lhakhang. After visiting the newly opened Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum, the day culminates in our most intimate experience: step inside a traditional farmhouse to learn the art of cooking Puta and Khuli (Bumthang’s local delicacy) alongside a local family, sharing stories and a home-cooked dinner.

Begin the scenic return journey through the traditional villages of central Bhutan. This day is about observing the daily life of rural Bhutan as it unfolds along the mountain passes. Arrive in Wangdue Phodrang to explore its restored dzong, a symbol of historical resilience.

Day 08 | Paro Valley: Living History
Return to the Paro Valley for a deep dive into its heritage sites. Explore the National Museum and the architectural masterpiece of Rinpung Dzong. Conclude the day at the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang and the reconstructed Drukgyal Dzong, celebrating Bhutan’s victory over past invasions.

Day 09 | The Ultimate Experience: Hike to Tiger’s Nest
No Bhutan Experience™ is complete without the climb to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). Perched 900m above the valley floor, this hike is a spiritual and physical pilgrimage. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew here on a tigress to meditate, and today it remains the ultimate symbol of the kingdom’s heritage. Spend your final evening at leisure in Paro town to reflect on your journey.
